Both books point out how the gospels that were banned by the Church are writings that empower women:

DC 2003: …it was not Peter to whom Christ gave directions with which to establish the Christian Church. It was Mary Magdalene…That was the plan. Jesus was the original feminist. He intended for the future of His Church to be in the hands of Mary Magdalene…Mary Magdalene, in addition to being Christ's right hand, was a powerful woman already…Magdalene would eventually surface and challenge the fundamental Catholic doctrine - that of a divine Messiah who did not consort with women or engage in sexual union.

RP 1999: Mary admits to Jesus…"Peter makes me hesitate; I am afraid of him, because he hates the female race"…we can see from the Gospel of Mary Magdalene…which depicts Mary Magdalene among the disciples - indeed, as one of Jesus' most beloved disciples, to whom he entrusted secret teachings…In the patriarchal society of the Hebrews, Jesus demonstrated a radical attitude towards women. Some of them traveled with Jesus…which was a shocking thing to do. Women are supposed to protect the family honor, they are not to be with other men, and certainly not to leave home without their husbands…these are all kinds of countercultural, anti-family things that we see Jesus doing with women.

Da Vinci Code explains why it is so important for dominators to define the reputation of Magdalene:

DC 2003: The threat Mary Magdalene posed to the men of the early Church was potentially ruinous…she was the woman to whom Jesus had assigned the task of founding the Church…The Church, in order to defend itself against the Magdalene's power, perpetuated her image as a whore and buried evidence of Christ's marriage to her, thereby defusing any potential claims that Christ had a surviving bloodline and was a mortal prophet…Magdalene was recast as a whore in order to erase evidence of her powerful family ties.

Rock Prophecy explains why it is so important for dominators to define the reputation of Hendrix:

RP 1999: Hendrix knew that people threatened by sex would use his sexuality out of its musicianship context to trivialize him…After expending so much energy to deny the significance of Jimi, dominators won't think twice about damaging anyone who informs the public about the contents of this book. Da Vinci Code traces a lineage family tree for Jesus:

DC 2003: …scholars of that era chronicled Mary Magdalene's days in France, including the birth of Sarah and the subsequent family tree…Christ's line grew quietly under cover in France until making a bold move in the fifth century, when it intermarried with French royal blood and created a lineage known as the Merovingian bloodline…

Rock Prophecy traces a lineage family tree for Jimi:

RP 1999: The Hendrix family tree has roots in Africa and Georgia. Jimi's lineage is also Cherokee and Irish, and Irish/African lore is at the core of blues and Voodoo history. This Afro-Irish cauldron, within an American Cherokee melting pot, constitutes Jimi's classic lineage…encoded with images and rhythms from Afro-Celtic Voodoo.

Da Vinci Code calls the disaster "life out of balance."

DC 2003: It was this obliteration of the sacred feminine in modem life that had caused what the Hopi Native Americans called koyanisquatsi - "life out of balance" - an unstable situation marked by testosterone-fueled wars, a plethora of misogynistic societies, and a growing disrespect for Mother Earth.

Rock Prophecy calls the disaster "retarded history."

RP 1999: …intuitive seers among them were silenced. Insights from these people were lost. Progress was impeded. HIStory is retarded…We would have learned much more from the Maya if their manuscripts hadn't been destroyed by the Spaniards. We would have known centuries ago about the ancient asteroid…Civilization today is a waking nightmare of refugees seeking shelter from the M.A.N. - the Mean And Nasty, a testosterone-overload hierarchy…This is the ultimate consequences of having broken off the symbiotic relationship with the Gaian matrix of the planet. This is the consequence of lack of partnership; this is the legacy of imbalance between the sexes…Dominators have silenced the seers and retarded history, set back human advances towards the anti-asteroid technology that would have saved our doomed, transitional civilization.

DC 2003: We are starting to sense the dangers of our history…and of our destructive paths. We are beginning to sense the need to restore the sacred feminine.

RP 1999: The last best hope for dissolving the steep walls of cultural inflexibility that appear to be channeling us toward true ruin is a renewed shamanism. By reestablishing channels of direct communication with the Other…We really can create a caring, refeminized, ecosensitive world . . .

Both books describe positive aspects of religion inside of a larger negative context:

DC 2003: Nobody could deny the enormous good the modern Church did in today's troubled world, and yet the Church had a deceitful and violent history.

RP 1999: A purely negative evaluation of the effects of religion would be inaccurate…It cannot be denied that many people have achieved with the help of religion a kind of autonomy, charity and peace...but these qualities…have been attained at too high a price...the healing dispensed…has to a large extent been needed because of the destruction wrought by such religion.
